A Game by Michael Bolt, for the GMTK Game Jam 2024.

What's the last thing a pirate must do before sailing away into the sunset? Wait for the long arm of the law to lose interest! 

But before you can lie low, you'll need to make a map of the island where you've buried your booty - with only your wits, a pen, and a nautical sextant.

Controls

Exploring

• WASD to walk
• Mouse  to look
• E to open Map & Compass
• Q to open Sextant

Sextant

• Look with the Mouse
• Lock the Sextant arm with Left Click
• Follow the on-screen prompts to lock the Sextant arms to the horizon and sun 
• When done correctly, your current location will be filled in on the Map

Map & Compass

• The red arrow of the Compass will always point in the direction that you are facing
• Use the Mouse to select a value from the color palette and fill in the map
• Press Enter to check your map - incorrect squares will briefly flash red.
• Press E to close the Map & Compass
